Fleece

This work, regarding the artistic production in Eindhoven and it’s (im)possibilities consists of 47 unique ceramic pieces resembling triangular Dorito chips presented in a informal ‘party’ setting.

The work evolves around the idea of these objects representing certain specifics inherent to the artistic practice. Especially the part in which an artist working in relative confinement struggles to connect to his contemporaries and the cultural infrastructure as such.

The title ‘fleece’ refers to something that offers comfort, and also that takes the one form (an animal skin) while in fact being another (a synthetic product).
